Reddit Toolkit

The Reddit toolkit integrates Reddit's platform into Arcade-powered agents and tools, enabling authenticated read and write operations on posts, comments, and subreddits.

Capabilities

  • Identity & access checks — Retrieve the authenticated user's Reddit username and verify whether a subreddit exists and is accessible (public, private, or restricted).
  • Post discovery & retrieval — Fetch single or multiple posts by ID, list posts within a subreddit (by hot/top/controversial/new with optional time range), and retrieve the authenticated user's own post history.
  • Post creation — Submit new text-based posts to any accessible subreddit.
  • Comment operations — Retrieve a post's top-level comments (first page, without nested replies), add a new comment to a post, or reply to an existing comment.
  • Subreddit metadata — Fetch the rules of any specified subreddit.

OAuth

This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 via Reddit as the identity provider. Arcade manages the OAuth flow automatically.

See the Reddit auth provider docs for setup details, required scopes, and configuration steps.
